BJJ Classes for Homeschooled Children

First of all, I applaud your decision to homeschool your child. Just based on that decision I know that you love your child very deeply and that their upbringing is very important to you.

I know on that basis we have a lot in common and that we care quite a bit about the future generation of children being great people in the world.

A lot of homeschooled children attend our Brazilian Jiu Jitsu program. From the very beginning our program has been full of a lot of kids from a lot of families that choose to homeschool. I can tell you why many of those families have chosen our program why they continue to stay with our program why it’s considered a big part of their children’s education.

You know one of the aspects of homeschooling that’s often talked about is the challenge for homeschooled parents in giving their child a sense of community with other kids.

A lot of our homeschooled families talk about how coming to our SBG New Braunfels Brazilian Jiu Jitsu school is where their kid gets most of their social needs met.

We’ve created a really great environment where kids interact with each other, everything is very respectful, and there’s a lot of fun and games. We have a lot of kids in our program that are homeschooled and their best friends are at our gym, their birthday parties are filled with other kids from our gym.

Another reason why a lot of homeschooled families say that they like our program is simply the ethos behind it, which is one of building self-discipline, confidence, critical thinking skills, and of course self-reliance; that ability to actually defend yourself and stick up for yourself. I think far too often in the public school systems kids are not given the tools or the means to defend themselves, not just as a person but as both a physical being and a mental being. It’s a tremendous shame.

Within our program we are teaching kids in no uncertain terms how to fight very effectively in hand-to-hand situations. That translates into a mentality of confidence that is very unique and cannot be easily replicated elsewhere. It is built from actually engaging in hand-to-hand combat with the knowledge that through your training you have gained the ability to survive and thrive.

It’s something that just imparts this kind of confidence and this assurance that is very unique and there’s nowhere in any kind of public school system where that kind of thing is being transmitted to.

A lot of our homeschooled families really love that about us: that we make sure that the kids are becoming these strong, confident people who feel that they can compete with their peers; they can actually struggle with their peers and be okay and come out of that okay.

I think if you come and try our program you’re going to find that the values that you hold most likely overlap with the values that we are espousing in our program and our character develop development aspects of our Children’s Program in our teens program

We’d love to have you come in and just have you try a free trial class and see if it’s a good fit for you.
